Thermodynamical Efficiency Measurement

The rating of turbine efficiency is a significant contribution to optimizing hydropower plants. Pöyry Energy is equipped with all measurement devices for thermodynamically efficiency measurements of Francis and Pelton turbines. The procedures are based on temperature differences and measures flow losses in the water.

• Acceptance tests according to the rules of the international electromechanical commission (IEC) for certification of guaranteed efficiencies
• Measurements for inspection and evaluation of the conditions of hydraulic machines, especially before and after major repair works
